Pink and Blue Party

For whatever reason, I am really close to my 30's and none of my close friends are having babies yet. So I guess that is why I hadn't heard of this new "pink or blue" gender-reveal party thing. I will admit, I ran across photos of an acquaintance's while doing a bit of Facebook stalking and thought it was the cutest idea ever!

Here is the idea: you invite friends and family over and ask them to wear pink or blue, depending on what they think the gender will be. Then, you use the cake to reveal the sex to your guests. You can do white cake with pink or blue icing in the middle (frosted all over so you can't see the middle until you cut it) or go all the way and dye the cake with some food coloring.

What a cute idea!
